What We Believe PDF Drucken E-Mail

Here are a few basic faith statements that we share with the majority of the worldwide Christian family. The content is based largely on the faith statement of the German Evangelical Alliance:

• We believe that the bible is the inspired Word of God that was given to us in order to grasp God’s being, His plan of salvation and His love.

• We believe in one God, forever made up of three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

• We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, born of the Virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus came to the earth to reveal the Father to us and redeem us of our sins. We believe in His sinless life, His miracles and His death on the cross, for and in the place of all humans. After His death, Jesus was physically raised from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. From there, He will return to earth in glory and power.

• We believe that all people have sinned are unable to exist before God in their condition of sin. Salvation, redemption, renewal and rebirth take place when a person makes a personal decision to turn-around through faith in Jesus Christ.

• We believe that baptism completes a conversion to God and expresses the Step taken into a new life.

• We believe that God wants to change our being by His sanctification. This follows our conversion and is made possible by our faith in Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit and through the Word of God.

• We believe that being filled with the Holy Spirit is a seal of our conversion and that every believer can expect to receive spiritual gifts. A experiential infilling of the Holy Spirit is available to every believer, and equips the believer with the power of God to follow and serve. The gifts of the spirit are still valid in our day and age and are accessible to all Christians.

• We believe that all who have died will be resurrected, the righteous to everlasting life, the godless to everlasting condemnation. It is God’s desire that no one is condemned, but that all might be saved.

• We believe that all believers, irrelevant of sex, race, upbringing or education, are called to service in the Kingdom of God.
